Governance
The IMARA Initiative is managed by a Board made up of representatives from member organizations. It is constituted as a not-for-profit association under the National Bureau for NGOs (NGO Bureau) and the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) as a Company Limited by Guarantee, governed by Articles of Association.
IMARA Initiative’s Board of Directors holds strategic and fiduciary oversight over the consortium. Our team is composed of a diverse pool of visionaries from across the non-profit sector who bring a combined wealth of expertise and context-specific experiences to drive IMARA’s strategic mission — and remain in touch with community needs.
Having diverse perspectives on our board is critically important. Each person brings their own personal and professional contacts, and life experiences to their service of the consortium and its constituents.
